About us
Slovak Tasto Duo plays Chamber Music. It interprets work of Slovak Modern Authors such as Vladimir Šarišský, Milan Novák, Peter Zagar, Evgeny Irshai, Ilja Zeljenka. It was created in 2005. The protagonists are Ivana Trangosova and Michal Matejcik.
They become friends during their soloist concerts held in Gallery of M.A. Bazovsky in Trencin. Later on they separated however; they met again at the Faculty of Music and Dance of the University of Performing Arts in Bratislava. They are currently studying for Master Degree in Chamber Music. They are studying under the supervision of doc. Boris Lenko. During their first mutual rehearsal they discovered the passion for the Slovak Chamber Music. By interpreting this particular music style they intend to propagate its quality and the culture of Slovakia.
Moreover, Ivana Trangosova and Michal Matejcik are actively co-operating with influential Slovak Chamber Music Composers. Through their collaboration in meetings they inspire the composers into creating new music. Also thanks to this intensive collaboration the Slovak Tasto Duo attempts to interpret the true message the composers created. The fruits of their hard work are invitations to different forums, conferences and tours where they discuss their collaboration with other musicians.
Slovak Tasto Duo has already presented itself on the Chalupkovo Brezno (This is a pedagogical employee amateur creative work national exhibition). Thanks to their exceptional performance they have been awarded by the Price of the President of Slovak Republic. Furthermore they have performed at the International Accordion Competition in Poprad. They have acquired a beautiful third price. Another of their big achievement was their presentation in the VIII.
